Membership Types

For all membership types listed below, the membership classification is determined by the age of the oldest member of the household on January 1st of the joining year.
Additional fees apply for moorings, boat storage, fleet membership, etc.

This equity membership entitles two adult members (residing in the same household) and the member's unmarried children (under 25 years of age as of January 1st) to participate in all club activities. The primary member is responsible for all the debts incurred at the club and the actions on the club premises, of all persons covered by this membership. This membership is entitled to one vote on matters subject to vote of the membership and maintains an undivided equity interest in the club.

This is a special, one (1) season, non-renewable, non-voting, non-equity membership, with no initiation fee. It is available to new members meeting the criteria for Regular or Junior membership.


Members joining as Associate Members between January 1 and July 31 will become either a Regular member, a Junior member on January 1 of the new season (initiation fees apply), or resign on December 31 at the end of the initial season. 


Members joining as Associate Members, between August 1 and December 31, will be Associate Members for the remainder of that season. The following season the member will become either a Regular member, a Junior member on January 1 of the new season (initiation fees apply), or resign on December 31 at the end of the initial season.

This non-equity membership is available to any individual who is under 21 years of age on January 1st or is a full-time student under 25 years of age who presents satisfactory proof of college enrollment. One board boat fee is included in the dues. Additional board boat, dry sail, or mooring privileges may be granted upon approval of the Board of Governors and payment of current fees. Only the Youth member is allowed to use the waterfront facilities. No guests are allowed except parents or a responsible adult who may accompany the youth in any club facility in a supervisory capacity. All NYS laws will be enforced for the bar/lounge area for all minors.

A member, at least 65 years of age, who has paid dues as a member for 20 or more years (Leave of Absence/Frozen years do not count), shall be granted Life Membership upon written application to the CYC Board of Governors. Life Members shall have the same rights and responsibilities as a Regular Member with the exception that they shall have no mooring, dry sail, waterfront or Shark Park storage privileges for watercraft in their ownership.

Principals, partners or owners of a firm
Principals, partners or owners of a firm

This is a non-voting, non-equity membership, entitling two (2) designated principals, partners, or owners of a firm, to use the Clubhouse facilities. Business members are also entitled to attend all social functions scheduled by the Social Committee. This class of membership is limited to legally registered businesses, and applicants must submit proof of such at the time of application. The membership must be recorded and billed to the business address. Business members have no waterfront or docking privileges.
