Sunfish Fleet 614 races every Thursday evening from early June through mid September. Racing starts at 6:00 PM and we typically sail three to five short races. One design racing in it's purest form, singlehanded sailing is an excellent way for anyone to hone their racing skills. Although we all sail together, the fleet is scored in three separate classes: A fleet for experienced racers, B fleet for those learning to race, and Juniors 16 and under. Everyone has a shot at winning an award.

In it's current form with a larger race sail, deeper daggerboard, and hiking strap the Sunfish sails better than ever. It will accept a wide range of weights with 130-180 the ideal. Women sailors are very competitive in the class as it does not require a lot of strength and weight. Competitive used boats can be found for under $1000.

Fleet 614 will be hosting the Cana'Fish regatta on August 14th. It's a fun one day event open to all Sunfish class sailboats.
