FD Fleet 19 was started back in the early '60's and while in recent years the fleet has dwindled there is still an FD presence on the black top. The current CYC Flying Dutchmen sail in holiday regattas and travel to away regattas. The Flying Dutchman is still one of the fastest mono hull dynghies on the water. The boat sails a Main sail, a Genoa foresail and a spinnaker. The Helm hikes from kicking straps and the crew rides a trapeze.
